Japan Blue's version of a classic haori jacket, it's the name of a traditional Japanese short jacket thats worn as a layering garment on top of a kimono.

The fabric used is a indigo dyed woven sashiko where thick threads are woven into the fabric to reinforce and add durability, a necessity for a garment made of this fabric that commonly was used as a fire fighter garment back in the days and are still today worn while practicing martial art. The beauty of this textile will show with time and the aging of the fabric when the indigo fades and the fabric becomes softer.
